What's an easy-to-use Mg, Ca, KH test kit? Elos is very difficult to me. Just looking for a more American-themed brand.

I like salifert. You can look up their instructions online and see if you like them as far as ease of use.

Easiest to use and most accurate are the HAnna Checkers for Alk and Ca, if you use them correctly and use 0 tds RO/Di with the Ca.

Salifert for the Mg.

This is the way I plan to go... you can get the Salifert tests on amazon for like 25$ or so. The only test thats above 40 was Strontium.

I just recently bought the api test for ammonia, nitrites, Nitrates, and ph. Seems pretty easy to use, and tell the colors apart.

I'm currently using the same one, just not sure how accurate it is.

I used the API for a while but I always hated the color differences... colors where to hard to tell from shade to shade for me. Maybe they have changed them IDK. Its a personal choice as to which tests you like or dont like. I prefer electrical testing equipment.

I totally agree on the electronic equipment, but my wallet doesn't yet. Lol

What's the most accurate basics test kit for under $75.00? Something that tests for Nitrates, Nitrites, pH, Ammonia, and whatever else the kit may come with.
