I have shipped a lot of coral, why is it that I only have issues with people on the other end when it is an ebay deal? Is it just me or do other people have problems? I shipped a couple pieces of chalice to Florida and Michigan. The FL deal was Ebay and Michigan was R2R, Same pieces to each place and Michigan is happy and FL is not. Just a little frustrating.

People are angry and love to complain. Go work as a cashier, you'll see.

The FL guy had it in his tank for about 20min and started complaining it didnt look healthy. WELL...umm its been on a truck for 2 days and its hot so how about you give it a minute to recover.

It's very hot and the coral gets stressed.

It's best to sell/ship in the cooler months.

Also, there are different experience levels your dealing with. I, for example, have only been running my reef tank for 6 months. I'm just learning. Perhaps your dealing with a Newbie, and someone who knows what he/she is doing.

dude i've found that ebay is expecting to have everything perfect because they have 2 failsafe's to get their money back. more personal sales through forums when you have rapport with people they understand that shipping is some what stressful for the animals and give it time to recover. on ebay its only really based on a picture and they expect the exact same thing in their tanks. and if they instantly complain there is now a paper trail to get the ball rolling for a refund. just saying becareful on ebay.

I expect the same. It should look very similar to picture especially buying from individuals. Most of the seller enhance the quality of the pictures which is dishonest business in my opinion (see it all the time when people post tank pictures). Of course I do consider the lighting that the coral is under. A coral under LED will look different versus MH.

I agree with both of you, But RR-Man you as a reasonable reefer would understand it wont look just like the picture after a very short time in your tank when it has been shipped accross the country. NOW if I said it was purple and it showed up green or I said It was a colony and it was one 1" stick then yes I would complain too.

I wouldn't have shipped them 2 day. IMO that is to long for them to be in shipping water but that is just me. IF (and thats a big IF) I am ever to the point I can sell some online it will be priority overnight signature required only no ifs ands or buts..

I agree it was the first and last time. The guy didn't want to pay $100 to ship $80 worth of coral which I guess is a large part of my complaint, you asked for 2 day and you got 2 day.

everything is through ebay, he wanted to email me to my personal email; I prompltly let him know all communication can be handled through the ebay email system. I have asked for pictures for 3 days now and still have yet to see anything. Im not refunding ANYTHING until I see a picture.
