yes, these are the same batch. mine are about 2.5" i'm guessing. they won't keep still when i lay them down on my ruler. go figure.

You can remove the rock with eggs on day 4-5 morning( maroon eggs hatch earlier then other clown eggs) and place it in a 10g tank with airstone next to the eggs. Eggs should hatch on day 5 at night when light go out.

Do you have everything to raise them? LMK if you need rotifers. FREE for you

Thanks for the offer. I have someone who's gonna try their hand with this first batch. I just needed to know when I could take them out. Perhaps I should put a little pot in there for the next batch. That rock is not 'removable'.

If LR is not removable, let them hatch and put a small tile their so the pair can lay their next batch on it.

Sure thing, Cat. I'll keep an eye on them over the next couple of days. I'll also stick a little flower pot or piece of tile as Mike suggested for the next batch. It'll be easier to remove.

Ok, came home today from work with no eggs left. So what's the likely scenario? The clownies ate the eggs? Some other fish at the eggs? Or did the shrimp get em? Or maybe the hermit crabs?

In any case, I got a little 3 inch flower pot that I put in the tank just below their rock. Hopefully they use it.

They normally eat their 1st, 2nd and 3rd batch. Some of my pairs stop at 5th batch and other stop at 2nd batch.

Just curious. How many days or weeks should i wait before expecting another batch of eggs? The tank is in my office so I could put Barry White on for them if it'll speed things up.
