Electrical Usage for Fish Tank (1 Viewer)

I did something really depressing yesterday. I calculated up the electrical cost per month for my tank. I am attaching the worksheet that I put together. This is for a 180 gallon SPS and shroom tank. I thought you all might get something of interest from this effort.

First thing you need to do is shop your electric company. 11.3 cents per kw/H is high. We are with TXU and pay between 9.4 and 10 cents. You could probably shave 10% off your bill just by shopping around.

What kind of lighting u using? Types/Wattage/Daily usage/etc.
