Elos test kits...Worth the $$ (1 Viewer)

I need to replace all my test kits since I am getting into reefing and I read too many things about Salifert wishy washy on their readings I am thinking about picking up an Elos Calcium test kit. Only thing its $30 compared to API $8

Anyone reccomend another brand?


I am not being cheap, I will spend the money if its worth it, I have only used cheap kits

I just recently tried the Elos test kits, and to tell you the truth, it gives a more exact reading. It is kind of confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, it is pretty easy. Hope that helps a little.

Yes we do, just got them in. It is the same price as you stated above.

i like the elos test kits too. salifert had a great reputation, but they kind of shot themself in the foot. they never send enough kits to the us and occasionally they have a bad batch or two. elos are in the same price range and do a great job.

I'm using Salifert and they are a lot better than the non titrating kits. We don't get Elos over here and I like to use what i have local access to. Is Elos a similar proceess to Salifert. (quick definite color change done). Oh and Citypets thanks for the great frags they are doing fantastic in the tank. You Houston Marshians don't know how lucky you are to have such wonderful stores around the corner from you.
