Hello all...
So, my emerald crab has decided my prized pink Octospawn is the perfect place to take up residency...
Prob is my Octo is now retracting and seems to be harmed by my crabs presence.
Has anyone had this happen? And if so what did you do?
Thank you in advance for any advice one might give.

hey,

my emerald crab took residency underneath my bi-color frogspawn and he usually stays underneath the heads. at first the smaller heads were receding a little but after a day or two they seemed to not be bothered by the emerald crab being in there. even the hermit crabs go through and around the base of the frogspawn. unless he's actively picking at the polyps and is trying to eat it somehow i don't think the crab will hurt the coral. i hope this helps!

Thanks so much! I don’t see him actively eating my octo, but I will try to watch him more closely, tomorrow, since I’ll be off from work. I always feel nervous when my coral seem to be unhappy lol. Hopefully my octo will improve & my crab will be able to stay in the tank.
Thank you, again, for the feedback!

If you don't have bubble and feel it's messing with your stuff just take it out to be safe

Exactly why I don’t trust crabs of any type or shrimp. Had a stupid hermit decide to shred one of my chalices a couple of years ago.
