Ok, i bought an emerald crab about 1.5 months ago as part of my cleanup crew. After about a week i noticed one night after the lights were off that he was sitting in a good sized acro i have. So i have watched and watched and i can not see that he is doing anything other than sitting in it and the coral looks fine to date. I can find him in there every night about an hour after the lights go out.

Has anyone else seen this? If so, did you have any problems down the road? I dont mind the critter and wont bother him as long as he doesnt destroy the coral i have worked hard to grow.

Mine sits in a fuzzy finger leather about the same time frame, about an hour after lights off.

Occasionally I'll find him there during the day. He isn't bothering the leather, and the leather doesn't seem to mind.

I'd watch carefully. More than once I have seen them just pick away patches of coral - they seem to like M digitata, Stylophora and Pocillopora.
