Witnessing a rare sight in our shop right now our recent Aussie Hammer shipment is all spawning! At first what looked like tiny flakes of gold began appearing in the heads of the Hammer. Slowly more and more began to appear throughout the day until the heads began to recede and layers of eggs were reveled. Almost all at once the began to "spit" the eggs, releasing layers of white cloud into the tank followed by hundreds of eggs.

None of this "cloud" was visible for long after the initial release, and I dont believe we have any large enough established colonies to witness a system wide spawning but the hammers themselves are truly amazing to watch.

Gonna try and post a video soon!
