I was watching my plants this morning when I noticed a greed cloud of something coming up from the plants. It kept coming up from the plants for about 2 minutes. Would anyone happen to know what it is.

the caulerpa is going sexual...probably going to crash your tank unless you pull it out and skim very wet for a few days.

Plan.

yikes! Not all of it is releasing it. I will keep a close eye on it, and keep y'all updated. There is allot of like yellow sponge around it. Don't know if it would help or not.

Is it milky white?

check to make sure its not bristle worms in or under you calurpa. I know I've seen mine spawn right after I took a bunch out and they started jetting white clouds out of the rocks. I looked like the rocks were spawning  The corals all opened up and enjoyed it and I wet skimmed for 2 days to minimize the quantity of successfully spawned worms.

.

I took out allot of the Caulerpa that was spawning and just threw it away.
All of the corals are still opened large. And it was a greenish cloud, not a white cloud. I also picked up the sand under the plants to make sure from were the cloud was coming from.
