I saw dennis at @fjwaquarium using this stuff so I figured I’d give it a shot.... I had dozens of aptasia in my tank and one big one about 2” across.

This stuff comes out of a needle and and sticks to the aptasia and then the tentacles retract to protect itself and they get stuck, it then forms a hard shell over the aptasia and it just disintegrates... it leaves behind a hard white shell that can be sucked out later.

Not sure what the long term effects are going to be but for now all of the aptasia is GONE!

Can you guess what the “f” stands for? Lol

Picture or video of it in action would be cool.

I used this in few aiptasias and killed them. It works much better than Aiptasia-X. It creates a hard shell over the Aiptasia. This product box is probably new, it is different than the one I got few months ago from Frank’s Tank.

Yeah they changed the label because they wanted to be more professional is my guess (If you saw the old logo you'd understand).

It seems to work well if you only have a few Aptasia's in the aquarium, but I honestly feel once they start spreading you really have to find another method. I tried Aptasia-X, F-Aptasia, Berghia nudibranchs, and a Copper Banded Butterfly.

My Aptasia History:
Aptasia-X I felt killed them for a while, but they kept spreading like crazy.
Bought some Berghia's. They ate a few, but then died off (I don't have any preditors like wrasse).
Tried F-Aptasia and while it killed the ones I put it on, there was just too many to keep up with it.
Bought more Berghia and I don't think they ate a single Aptasia and all died off.
Tried my luck with a CBB about a week ago (after QT) and he's doing work on it! By far the most effective.... but he's picking on my Acans.

So I relocated my Acan's to another tank (second time I've had to do this). Guess Acan's just are not going to survive in my aquariums. :(

In my experience I don’t let it mature-kill it when it’s small regardless of the method. My favorite method is coral putty combined with gel super glue.

Once it matures killing it is a bad idea-it releases millions of spores in the water columns and boom it spreads like wildfire.

Damn!! So what's the method when there big and mature?! I've been fighting it on and off this time it's harder to kill. Thinking about taking all my rock out and acid wash it . Buy new rock

Well that’s good news. So no changes with any SPS?

I just have two I need to nuke. So after that I’m hopefully done with them for a while.

Now I just need a magic pill for VERMETID SNAILS

Super glue is the best way to freeze them in action, but they grow like wildfire.
