Supposedly they do well in dirty nutrient filled tanks and I believe they need a gentle flow tank.

IMO they should be left in the ocean.. they are difficult to keep and very few have had success at keeping them for any length of time.

Now I agree with steve but I also have kept one. He lasted awhile but I had a large brittle star that liked the way his feathers taste. They are very beautiful and hard to resist but if you can wait I would. I would love to try again one day

I also have tried to keep one, but it only lived about 2 months. The article Steve linked to is the only success story I have seen, and I do not plan to try again.
