Every LFS and coral farm should be reaching out as this could affect their bread and butter. This sounds worse than the Indo ban and look how they were all affected from that.
Guess I'm putting everything up for sale.
Looks like PETA got a few big corporate sponsors to lobby for this...

What looks good on paper doesn't always work when put into practice. Yet another example of bureaucrats making miss-informed decisions based on potentially incorrect data with no regard on what it will/won't impact.

Yep and there’s a ton of people that depend completely on the income of oyster’s. They sell to all the local restaurants. A lot of Asian fisherman for sure.
Its just another step in the wrong direction to make the Bill easier to enforce, since so many smaller ones have already been enacted.

So I didn't realize this was going to impact the reef hobby as well. I saw emails on the same issue in the reptile hobby as well. They're organizing to kill this legislation.

typical overreaching gubmt bs.
Chances are this bill will die in the senate. Stranger things have happened so who really knows for sure until it either is killed or passes the senate vote.
Not to say we don't have anything to be worried about but if this one doesn't make it, there will eventually be one that does and who knows how bad it will actually be with the scope they were trying for in this one.
