Thank you for your inquiry and we are more than happy to help you with this. The only one that has a tempered bottom panel is the 40 gallon breeder tank and the 55 gallon is completely tempered glass. The 10g, 20g long, 20g high, and 29g have no tempered panels.

I also looked at a 40g yesterday and it had a different tag than the other I saw. This one said tempered glass vs. the other one which had tempered glass all panels which leads me to believe that at least on the one I saw yesterday only the bottom was tempered.

and I went back and indeed the one that says "all panels tempered" is a 55g not a 40g. Sorry about that. My mind is like a steel trap.....that's rusted shut.

Picked up a 20L to be used as my sump/refug on my new build. I went to the Petco in Atascosita, since it was fairly close to me and they have more saltwater products than the other stores near me. They have about 15 of the 40b tanks (all tetra brand).

Petco is being cheap is what it comes down to. That's why "they" discontinued aquaeon.

Wow, that means we could drill most of those from the bottom. I just may sump my 20 long now.

I picked up a 20 long too. Great tank for QT. Gotta love 20 longs and 40 breeders!

Yep gotta love them. My display is going to be a 40 breeder, I bought it from a member (already drilled). My current tank is a 5.5 gallon that I have a few frags from reef currents in.
