I had no idea I had so many sps corals...this morning I had 62 bags floating in the tank..lol... not to mention I was home alone (Friday)..took a payed day off so I could do it without the wife thing knowing how much money I had into the project... all I got when she got home was...its big and why is it in my bed room...lol.... all I could say was..well we already have the 135 gallon in the living room...so this one i built for you ....IN YOUR BED ROOM.... well...so far so good all corals are doing good ...I did have a slight increase in nitrates this morning ...so I did a 20 % water change today....

And dead fish....

I'd be prepared for a water change a day. I'd also seriously consider tracking down some bottled bacteria

Oh, and the bacteria we want do not reside in the water column. They are substrate dwellers

again every thing is good.... one more day down... I did get a Alot ...ALOT OF WATER TO DO THE WATERCHANGES....everyday if I have to.... till its right ....I did a lot of research on moving a tank and it seems that it is done very successfully time and time again.... im keeping a very close eye on the parameters. their is no way im going to lose all my sticks...
ive always been one to spend a fortune on water changes any way nothing new...for me.. plus my family know to stay out of my way ... their comes the water... its the nitrates that im looking for right ...?.............. ????? salinity this morning 1.025 nitrite 0 nitrates 10 calc. 440 ....

if their was going to be a problem how long would it take to notice and when can I rest easy....???????

Lee, your # might be all good on track, SPS are just corals that just don't like a new setup tank.
When I had my tank setup I thought I took my time and waited 8 weeks before moving the SPS over.
All softies and LPS were doing great as never before.
It took a good week after I moved the SPS and noticed that they weren't happy.
WC and bacteria did help a little but still I lost most of my large colonies with in a month of the move.
Didn't lose any fish other than two jumpy wrasses.
It took a good 3 months before I saw improvement on the damage SPS and that was most all of them.
Good luck bro.
I know you have heart for your hobby and will do every thing in your power to minimize your loss.

I also agree with using stability. I have used it with succes in the past. The fact that you have any ammonia should have you on full alert.

Not sure about adding the two different products like that. But in my opinion I would not be doing that many water changes when you add that bacteria in there you would be only taking it out of the system. But I could be totally wrong on this because I forgot to add it back in my tank when I did my upgrade from a 55gallon tank to a 125gallon.

If you bought it from petsmart they will let you return it take your receipt with you but before you return it let some of the more experienced guys put their input in but adding two different pruducts like that. Not sure on the skimmer part hopefully someone else will chime in

I'd keep the skimmer running. For right now I would only use the Stability and Microbacter7 from Brightwell Aquatics. Those two are great products to help a new tank along. Keep an eye on the big 6 (ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, alkalinity, calcium, magnesium) and just have patience. There's nothing you can buy at your LFS that is going to replace time.
