I just had a box of corals shipped to me. First time ever getting corals shipped. They are in an insulated box. Are they OK in the box until this evening when I get home from work or do I need to get them he asap and acclimate them?

They can be ok in the box if it's warmer but not hot outside.
But that depends on the company you dealt with.

I would get them outta the box always asap when they arrive anyways, especially today!

I should have been more clear. They are sitting in the box next to me at my desk inside my work office. It is around 72 degrees in here. But the corals are in an insulated styrofoam box.

Hi, garaymail.
Think about it this way. Suppose your delivery man didn't show up till this afternoon? Would your corals be dead?

As a general rule, you always want to get your corals into your tank asap, but you do have some leeway if you dealt with a quality vendor.

good luck,
Steve

You have way more patience and self control than I do if you can sit at work with corals next to you!

Haha....I went to lunch and then ran home to at least get them floating in the tank. So I didn't have too much patience. Will dip and acclimate them once I get home this evening. Thanks y'all!

You're fine once you have them floating. Temperature is the real enemy during the shipping process.
