Usually after a Haddoni spawns in a home aquarium, they start to decline and end up dying. I hope this doesn't happen to ur blue. :-(

Most spawn due to stress in our aquariums. I've had two spawn and many others have had theirs spawn and the Nem's were never the same and about 75% died afterwards.

Blue Haddoni's and Gigantea's are some of the most beautiful animals.

Check out this big blue gig in Ben's tank. This gig is super healthy in this video.

Hmm didn't know that. I have witnessed it spawned couple times.. Other times I saw the tank cloudy and the skimmer went crazy I thought it's this anemone or my urchins

Yeah, it sucks. Your tank may be so established that it spawned naturally. A few people you can talk to about it are Trex on R2R and Toddrtrex on RC. Both have had them for years and I think (not positive) that both guys had one spawn and die 6-12 months after. Both tanks were super old and well established, but everybody's tank is different.

Here's a green I had. He spawned and here's a before and after pic months later.

Here he is in treatment. He reinflated, but never seemed to do very well and slowly declined until he finally died. :-(

One other thing I wanted to mention to help him survive. I'm not sure what you feed him, but Trex can testify to this too, silversides have contamination issues that have killed more than a few Haddoni's.

That blue is too nice to chance it. I'm hoping he didn't stress spawn and will last for years. Just avoid trying to propagate him. There is no evidence that a Haddoni has ever been fragged and lived. They do ok shortly after, but decline until both frags die.

Feeding a human grade food (seafood mix) from HEB or Kroger will be a safe choice. Not to mention, it's cheaper. Just take a few pieces out and cut them up small...Like the size of a pencil eraser. Then freeze the rest. Smaller sizes help them digest it well before they just spit it out- half digested. Limiting feeding will keep him small. You can get away without feeding at all if you want him to stay the same size. Haddoni's are know to get very large- fast.
