I was just wondering if its ok to use super glue (specifically Krazy Glue) to glue a frag to a piece of LR? If not....are there any other alternatives that would be safe to use besides that aquarium putty stuff?

Super glue works fine....make sure you get the gel type of super glue or you will have fun trying to get the liquid to work right. Liverock is so porous it just disappears on the rock :)

You must use Gel Super Glue and LOTS of it haha Then you gotta get it stuck down just right but they still dotn hold THAT good unless you glue it dry out of water.

You can put a big blob of gel glue on the end of the frag to be glued down. Then just stick it in the spot you want and hold it for a second. You can twist the frag in the glue to even get it to take a better hold.

I like the brand Loc-Tite the best. Doesn't take much and holds fast.

Super Glue is a 2 part adhesive and starts bonding when moisture is mixed in. What does that mean? it would bond faster when you place it in the water. Huffing on the piece also helps as moisture would come out of your mouth. Wipe your hands dry as there is also moisture on your fingers that you dont see. I feel sorry for you if you have hyperhydrosis. ;)

thanks for the tips everyone. I tried out my krazy glue today and it seems to be working like a charm!
