Does anyone know where I can go to read a "step-by-step" process for fragging?

It covers lots of different techniques to use for different kinds of coral. It also gives info on how to stimulate asexual reproduction(budding, fission, etc.) It covers everything from building a progagation greenhouse, to how to frag corals, to how to ship corals. Cool book. Over 400 pages. Just wish there were more pictures.

Zoa's are very easy to frag. You can rip them, cut them, or peel them apart and super glue (gel) them to what ever you want encrusted. I would were gloves. Not something you have to do, but I would. They are toxic and you could develope a reaction to the toxin. Try not to put your hands in your mouth or eye after handling them as well. Wash your hands very good afterwards as well. hope this helps...

Here's what I do. I cut the polyps off just above the base. Then I stick the cuttings into a small tupperware with aragonite in it. I let the frags heal in the tupperware for about 2 weeks, then I superglue them onto rock rubble.

I assume you do the cuting or ripping in a seperate bowl of tank wate that is then discarded?
Don't they tend to spew bad stuff into the water when they're cut off?

Josh, you are the patient fragger. My stuff goes as soon as it's attached and looking healthy. God Bless your patience, or my stupidity. :)

Actually, I just hold the rock of polyps out of the tank, cut the polyps with a sharp razor blade, and toss the cuttings into the tupperware bowl. Then I put the tupperware into the tank. I usually use fiberglass window screen to cover the tupperware bowl, because current will blow the lighter stuff out(mushrooms, zoa's,etc)

OK here's what I just did.I took the rock with the Zoa's out of the tank (the Polyps were MAYBE 1/8 inch wide and high out of the water). They were so small I could bareley work with them!!
I took a new single edged balde and cut 3 buds aff of the rock and gel super glued them to a new piece of rock.
Put the new and old group back in the tank. I'll let you guys know what comes of them.
THANKS TO ALL!!!!!!!!!!
