If you go in on the weekend, go after about 3:00pm. Donnie's a night owl and doesn't go in till about that time. He has yet to not surprise me with good deals. I have never paid their asking price for anything in livestock and they do have great deals on tanks.

Sheesh, wish i could say the same thing. My brother and i have been in there on MANY occaisions and bought at least 10 SPS from them (at their asking price), and when i asked them to drop their price on a blue ricordia $3 so that i could afford it, they told me no. I was dumbfounded.

Last year, at cp, i dropped off about 125 frags for store credit.. and then took home 5 colonies of acroporas... only one is alive today... dont ask me..

If they were all wild-caught colonies, that survival rate probably isn't atypical.

Thanks Mikester....I feel so important now...So does anyone ever bring frags to the meetings?
Ohhhhh geezzzzzz....

landfish

some people will bring frags the meeting. But not everytime. It just depends if some one has frags that they are trying to get out of their tank.

We have a big frag swap in Nov and if you went to the last one (my first one to go to) You will know that there are allot of people that bring some kick ********* frags. Just dont spend all of your money in 10 min like I did because I saw a bunch of stuff I wanted on the way out. Most everyone will take money at the frag swap so if you do not have anyting to trade you can all ways trade for cash

Keep an eye out on the for sale section as people sell frags all the time. I have bought some nice frags from some members.

Brian and I might have to skip this upcoming swap to let our corals grow enough to have some good frags.

Ok, this has been driving me crazy-
At City Pets, when you first walk in, on the outside of the saltwater section (the left side of the clam display), the tank on the bottom left.

There are these really odd looking creatures that are in a tank with no substrate. They are VERY colorful, and they have been there for a while. they are in a tank with some different types of snails.

What in the WORLD are those? I can't really describe them, but maybe someone will know what i'm talking about.
There are 2 or 3 of them, they don't look like a fish, a coral, or a snail.

I think you're probably talking about they're sea apples.

Did it look like this?

Dang, I know what she is talking about. One was a pink based one and one was a blue based one. They are not sea apples. I will look it up again and get the name. I was wondering the same thing, so I came home and looked it up. I remember the article saying they were reef safe, but thats about the jest of what I remember. Let me find that link.

Should have the answer shortly.

They look just like that photo.
Thanks a bunch- I'd like to do some research on them to find out if they'd work in my tank, but i had no idea what they were.
