We will be going down to Galveston to collect tomorrow, Friday 8/19, so if anybody heads down there we will be in the same place around 9pm. If you never been collecting come on down and don't worry we'll show you.

I will be there as well, with some friends and cousins. We plan on seining on West Beach late afternoon, then dipnetting in front of Rainforest Cafe just after dark.

I am gonna try over here this weekend. Our salinities are way up. Usually they are 25 in the nearshore gulf because we have 2 major river systems (Neches and Sabine) but this year they aren't flowing any water. I'll let ya'll know how it goes.

No, we never made it to the jetty. We ran the seine net on West Beach then messed around at San Luis Pass. We got there on low tide - bad for the jetties, good for the marshes.
