I have heard about people collecting a lot of cool critters in Galveston and I want to know the best spots to find exotic things for the couple of saltwater tanks I have. I have heard that the jetties on the sea wall, the Texas city dike, and the bolivar peninsula are good spots and I want to know what creatures I can find thx!

Well it has been awhile since I posted went to Galveston on Monday and it was very windy.. And a tiny bit burrrr with that wind. Wanted to do collecting but changed my mind. When will it be a good time to start collecting again? I lost my tiny Goby about two weeks ago.

Starting now should be good. The currents should have shifted to warm the water by now.

On another note. One my my favorite places is the public boat ramp in Freeport when the sargasm is in. I throw the cast net over a patch. There are all sorts of things from frog fish, pipe fish, shrimp, etc.... You never know because it is deeper there. It's like being 100 yards off the beach in a boat netting the stuff.
