Last night I went to Galveston to collect for the first time. I must say this was really fun. I came back with a bright blue rock Anemone, a few blennies, shrimp(no peps though, very upset about that), and what I believe to be some sort of angelfish. The angelfish is very small (1/4 inch) and is now a black color with a stripe on his face. (if anyone knows what this is please let me know). My question is can I put these other blennies in my main tank. I have a lawn mower blennie that I have had quite a while and I would hate for the Galveston blennies to kill him. Any help would be great!!!!!!!

If you went to the jetty in front of Rain forest. That why you didn't get any peps. I was also down last night but went to another jetty and collected about 50 peps.

For the blennies, I had a few in my tank and they were fine. They are just little thefts when you try to target feed something.

Oh well I may go back next saturday I will take him with me and put him back where I got him. Right now everything is in a ten gallon tank, so I can observe them. I also got some rock with some kind of pink tubes coming off of it, anyone know what that is.

Thanks for the info Guys :)

I have one. And for the ones that don't, I wouldn't worry to much about it. I don't think you will go to jail for some blennies and peps and some crabs. LOL

You should never return anything to the wild after you have mixed it with your tank. There are bacteria and other stuff that are in your tank that are not found in the wild. Introduction of those into the wild could have a bad result. Pleae don't do it.

Unless you are using everything from the ocean ie water too... then its best to sell it or freeze it. If you didnt get water too then toss it or keep it. No two ways about it. But if you keep a tank that is 100% Galveston caught and kept then its fine to return it but not if you add something else from the fish store including water... We have stuff the ocean just doesnt have to deal with.
