How do you get a BTA to detach from a rock?

I've heard people trying to point a powerhead at it.
You may be able to move the rock to a different location he doesn't like.
You may be able to move the rock to a different location he doesn't like.
I also read about putting an ice cube in a ziplock back and rubbing it around the foot if accessible.

be forwarned, sometimes it's not always greener on the other side.
It never fails, he won't move while you're watching him. NO telling what he will travel over (other corals) or into (powerheads)!

I want to get him isolated by himself so I can sell it. It split into two and they are both on the same rock. I will try the ice trick
Did you get him to move?

I havent tried yet, they were both on seprate parts of the same rock, now they are right next to eachother. I don't want to risk looseing both.

what i've done in the past is:
grab a brand new razor blade
use the NOT SHARP side to slowly and gently peel back the edges of the foot
for some reason the razor blade metal seems to "stun" the foot and it lets go
don't be alarmed if it doesn't immediately attach back to another rock when you put it in...this method seems to stun the foot for a few minutes...
i've used it a buncha times when i was moving my tank...the nems kept landing on top of acro so i had to move them a few times, till they found happy places where they weren't stinging everything

I tried 3 different methods to other day
A) Ice cube in a bag, tried for 10 mins.....Fail
B) Credit card on the foot 10 mins...... Fail
C) Air flow through an airline aimed at the foot of the anemone. 15 secs it released.

Wonder if it was truly the air flow or if he just gave up after 20+ minutes of u harrassing it.

I finelyl was ablt to get one off the rock, used an alge scrapper under the foot and just slowly lifted one little peice at a time
