I am trying to get back home to Seabrook tonight or in the morning from San Antonio. My 75g reef tank already crashed - Kim (Isis) checked for me, and the rest of the tanks are suffering and dying, as we still have no power in our neighborhood.

Every Home Depot and Lowe's are all out of generators in all of San Antonio and Houston area.

Does someone have one available that I can use or borrow when I get in, and/or somewhere I can take my fishes to so they can survive?

I would be coming from Seabrook: Clear Lake area.

I had 2-3 small fishes left in my 20g reef as of this afternoon, I was told, and I have some freshwater fishes.

Please, please let me know if anyone can help.

Thanks,
Kim Frederick (PygmyAngel)

Scott from Pasadena has offered to help me rescue the fish and foster them for when I get home, but I am still in need of a generator for power to the house.

If anyone has one to sell still, or for borrowing, or knows where one is available, I would greatly appreciate it.

I might have one around Friday. I'm still in Louisiana and I'm bringing one back with me. My house is still out of power though they have power at all the houses around my street so maybe when I gt back I'll have power and have a extra generator.

Christian,

That might be what I'll have to do, since there doesn't seem to be any available anywhere else that I know of. I'll be coming in from San Antonio by way of I-10 anyway, and maybe I can stop by there first. I would need to borrow your Sam's card like you said, so maybe we could meet there or something. I am not sure what time we will be over there, though, but I know we will be leaving sometime in the morning. Are you working tomorrow, or what is your availability?

Tex/Jeff,

Hey, how's things? How did your house do? Did u hear from others if you had damage or anything? If you don't have power, you'll need your generator though. So you won't know if you'll need it or not. And if we can get a generator before Friday, that would be better. If you were returning earlier than Friday, and knew for sure you wouldn't need the generator yourself, that would be ok. I'll let you know if I don't get the one w/ Christian tomorrow, or someone else, and if you don't need it, and I still need one, I'll get w/ you. Thanks Jeff.

Kim,

I am off tom. as my work still has no power so just give me a call. The generators I believe were $999.99 if I remember right. 832-641-3004. If they happen to be out I have Costco down the road too as well as another Sams right next to there so if we have to we will hunt you one down. Drive safe.

Christian, thanks for the help. I don't know if I can swing $1000, though, unless I have to have that one to power the house plus the tanks, anyway. Then I guess I'll just find a way - I can always ask to pay my house a month late maybe or something. But I have a Home Depot credit card, and it wouldn't put me out of the $ so fast if we could really find one at a Home Depot. If not, I'll do what I have to. Thanks again, and I'll call you tomorrow. I really appreciate the help.

I understand, I thought they were a little much too but I also do not know the specs, they looked rather large. There is a Home Depot on Fry and I10 (281) 599-9170, Beltway 8 and I10 (713) 461-9898 on your from SA, in case you want to call them on the way in. If not I will wait for you call.

The home depot of fry was out. They may have taken some returns in. I know on Sunday, they would not do any returns. I live in Sealy, and the feed store here, did have some. They were 1200 including tax. I know that is high, I could call and check if they still have some, if you want. There is also a Lowes on Fry at I-10, it is on the other side of the frwy from Home Depot. I hope this info helps, and good luck!

klizotte,

we are about to leave the hotel in san antonio now and head back, so i will be driving and not online. i just called the fry and bltwy 8 home depot's and they said they did not have any yet. so i am definitely still looking. but 1200 is way steep too. if you coluld call the lowes at fry or even other stores in area and let me know. i really need a Home Depot if possible, so I could have a way to pay, or if someone has one they don't need now, i could pay in some way.

i will be on the road in just a bit, so if anyone can help, just text or call me on my cell:
281-217-5437.

i'll be coming in on I-10 of course, and it'll take me about 3-4 hrs to get there, so i'll be offline for a while.

Thanks!

Kim

Okay, LesD has offered to let me borrow/purchase his generator from him.

This is great. We will meet up w/ him when we get into town today.

Christian, this means I don't need to meet up w/ you after all, so thank you so much for your help.

Thanks everyone,

Kim
