Going collecting tonight (1 Viewer)

Just thought I would post that I'm planning on doing some collecting around the jettys and maybe on East beach tonight with a couple of friends if anyone is interested. I'm planning on leaving SW Houston around 9:30-10pm and plan on being down there for a couple of hours.

just got back and it went great, very good catch.

karlo, were you able to get peps? We couldnt find anything at the jettys, though we did get a bunch of ghost shrimp in the marshes.

We were able to catch lots of Peps and blennies which I have about 3 of them in my sump because i had thought i let them all go but as i was taking out the peps they were there. I let them go all the time but i'm thinking my brother threw them in there because he didn't know what was ok to take, also found a couple of small crabs that came in the bucket, so if anybody wants a blenny just come and pick it up or take all three of them you might just leave with a few peps as well.

We also caught about 4 big blue crabs about 6" (body), let those go as well, i think they might knock things over in my tank

I did bring about 6 of those little metallic silver looking fish, less than 1" for live food for my nems but one got loose and is still in my tank, hopefully it doesn't get too big.

OH MAN I'd take those 4 large crabs. Do you think you could put aside like 2 peps for me?

I end up with mess load of peps. A 1/2" blue crab, skinny snake like fish, some silver fish one looks like a 1/2" jack, also a 3/4 yellow and black strip fish. They all are still alive at this time.
Had a good time, Even with all the cuts I ended up with from the rocks. LOL

wow, I must have been having some really bad luck last night to not have found any... which jetty were yall catching them at?

I didnt realize that they had paved over quite a few of them, making it nearly impossible to get a net down around those.

There where couple guys down at the jetty in front of rainforest when we were leaving around 12:00.

That might have been me and my friend. I think we showed up a little late, the tide was coming back up and it was kind of choppy.

We tried a few of the jettys before we gave up and went to east beach.

We might go back next weekend and try again.
