Been wanting some Ruby Reds since I saw one in a pic years ago. As lately they've finally been coming in to the US, I finally got some, thanks to David at Urban Aquatics!

Note, these are gorgeous fish, but if you want to get one, please know their requirements and give them the home they need. As a mandarin dragonet, they have very specific care requirements.

In their acclimating bags, eating the pods I put in there for them like crazy :) Hopefully they'll fatten up quickly.

They're a pretty recent import. Not a good fish for a biocube at all though.

They are better suited to larger well-established tanks with a plentiful pod population for them to eat.

Congrats Cat!! That is awesome. I'd love to have one but I'm even hesitant and I have a 240 gal that is almost 2 years old. I gotta make sure I have enough critters in there for it to eat.

Awesome Cat! Just beautiful. They are in a good home, I know they will be doing that cute little dance after a while. :D

That's an AWESOME looking Dragonet!!! My Mandarin just started eating PE Mysis a couple weeks ago after having it 3 years. Don't know why but definitely welcomed. What is the going rate for one of those if you don't mind me asking?

Cool pics...

I got one in my tank for a little over a year now and it's doing well. I got mine from T&T...

Those are some cute lil boogers! Did you end up getting a male and a female? I once purchased two of them (turns out both were male), one would pick on the other really bad until I no longer saw the other :( mine ended up eating PE Mysis. Then I went on Vacation and bam! he was gone too!

That's an awesome video Allison! Cute little guy, so glad he made it, he was sooo skinny!

I made sure to get male-female pairing :) I hope as they mature they'll begin mating like my previous pair of green mandarins.

I'm down to one fat piggy. The biggest of the two. The other never made it past the first night. Couldn't get it to eat pods, while the other was going to town like a buffet. Need to get me another to pair up. Jueve's come in almost all white!!! Really neat fish. Mine found it's way into the overflow within a few days. But he's got a big space all to himself with plenty of pods. He's happy in there lol.
