i finally put the pics on a different site that would allow you to link to them directly. i tried webshot, geocities, and tripod and none of them would allow you to link directly, but 81x.com will.

what lighting are you running on that tank?

it's a 58 gal and i am running a single 400w 65k and 2vho actinic's for suplement, but i am fixing to try one of the 20k xm bulbs.

I saw Global has XM 20 K bulbs on their frag tank as an experiment and John didn't like the bulbs at all - so far. the intensity seems low and the color is too blueish.

I saw that too over the weekend. Something just didn't look right. Not to say that I didn't like it, but it was noticeably different.

I've heard the XM 20K's described as the "great blue sun". I guess I can see why.

i've heard both good and bad about the xm 20k so if i don't like it, i'll just trade it to a friend of mine who thinks you can never get your tank blue enough. right now i've got a 10k xm still sitting in the package and am waiting on the 20k. once the 20k comes in, i'll take pics of the tank with the 65k, 10k, and 20k then post them on here and get everybody's opinion.

Jim Norris over in Austin has a real nice sps tank and he is sold on the 20k XM. Just within the last couple of weeks has he added a couple of 400w 10k XM's to the bunch. The 20k's are also in the 400w. Over his 240g sps tank he has a 20k, 10k, 20k, center brace and then 20k, 10k, and a 20k. He posted pics over on the MAAST site. He has gotten me wanting to try the 10k XM but in the 250w.

Have you heard about the CoralVue halides?? They are supposed to be as high in PAR as Ushios or a bit more according to Joe Burger. JB NY on RC.
