I've used a Dremel with a cut off wheel to frag those thick skeleton hammers.

If its the more slender branching variety you may just be able to snap them off.

Looks branching. If so, just make sure to cut where they branch. Don’t cut the white skin covering some of the branch. Works perfect with bone cutters

Looks branching. If so, just make sure to cut where they branch. Don’t cut the white skin covering some of the branch. Works perfect with bone cutters
Yeah its branching, but it may have to stay whole then. It is white flesh all the way down to the plug its glued to, no skeleton anywhere.

Thats a good idea and I do have one, but the white skirt might be an issue.

To second others, do not cut the skirt unless it’s unavoidable, but it sounds like you’ve got time on your hands. Best to wait.

Also, I use a dremel with the diamond tipped cutoff wheel. The standard black cutoff wheels make me nervous because they break apart in dust as they’re being used. The diamond bit doesn’t, but it also costs $40 if you get the corresponding collet.
