How often are you guys calibrating your Hannah salinity for home use?

i used to try to calibrate once every two months or so

I have not caliberated in about 6 months but I do compare it to a refractometer once in a while. Also, I rinse it with fresh water after every use not sure if that matters or not.

Love this thing - every reefer should have one.

Thanks for the replies. I just picked one up from TAP. Like the idea of a quick check instead of using the refractometer as much. Pretty awesome device.

I recalibrate mine at the beginning of every month...hanna does recommend rinsing them in fresh water after each use and before storage. Also never let the probes dry out...keep them covered when not in use

Get a Tropic Marin Hydrometer. More accurate and no calibration needed.
