Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone here could tell me about their experience with a universal tank? I'm looking to buy a 75 gallon tank and I have found universal to be cheaper than oceanic and I'm wondering what their quality is like. Made right here in Pasedena too, like to support local if I can.

The 75G I got from estone is a universal -- according to John at Global. I haven't set it up yet so you might want to ask him about it.

If I remember correctly the Universal glass is a little bit thinner than the Oceanic. I had an uncle look into 55g tanks and observed that.

They should be ok. I bet a lot of people have them since their price is much more appealing.

My 75 is a universal. I had it custom made with 1/2in bottom and back cause I was going to poke it full of holes :D They are very generous with the silicone. I had to do a little trimming here and there. other than that no problems.
They can do the euro bracing if you want instead of a center brace.
