Heater bomb

Had a heater blow in my sump now all corals are dieing and have lost 1 fish and now have another laying on the bottom any helpful info would be great did a 50 gallon water change tank is 165 gallons all parameters are great

I have had heaters crack and no problem. Did the tank temp spike? What brand / type of heater?
