My heater broke right in front of me this morining. I will be getting one of the titanium heaters next. Should I worry about the broken glass that is in my tank or just run some extra carbon to filter out any extra toxins?

Well sounds like you were lucky it broke in front of you rather than while you where a way, so it could be shocking your tank for 8 hours.

Well do you worry about cutting yourself?

Run some carbon though.

Get as much of the glass out as you can. You don't want any getting pulled up into your pumps and burning them out. That'd create a whole nuther set of problems. Besides, you don't want to cut yourself in the tank on that stuff. It's easy to forget it's in there until it's too late.

I think it was a Marineland brand heater. Luckly. it broke into one very large piece. Not as much of a clean up as i thought. Any of the LFS sale titanium heaters, or I am Ebay bound?
