no its not diatoms its coralline i found it and checked it even by hand and microscopes and that still doesnt change the the fact that i have the purple coralline algae in the tank which i have literally compared colors with other samples so one is confirmed the other i dont have good color and sample to comparte as much to but that was just a guess
