I noticed two colonies of my SPS had red bugs. They're not dying but probably one reason why they don't color up good.Did researched and found out that Dragon Pipefish is one solution, but I'll be honest with you,I don't have any experienced with this kind of fish.My second option is to use Interceptor,I've been searching the internet but I can't buy it since it is a prescription drug. Can anybody here help me with this?PM me.Thanks.

get a hold of a vet, preferably an exotic species vet, and explain what you have and why you want interceptor. I've had little issue being up front and providing documentation (including printing out various threads that detail treatment regimes). They've given my interceptor after a day or so of research.

yeah, contact a vet. explain the situation and they should give you a prescription. i wouldn't bother with a pipefish. they are cool fish, but difficult to keep long term.

if you do choose to use interceptor, remove all of your crustaceans (shrimp, crabs, etc). they will die if you dose interceptor. starfish and other inverts are ok, though they may appear agitated.

Thank you all for the response and advices and for those who PM'd me.I am confident that after eradicating these bugs my corals will continue to grow healthy and colorful. In the future I will not sell any corals until I am 100% sure they are bugs free.I don't really know where it came from but my adviced is take a closer look at your acros because these bugs are very very small. And if you know your's is infected, please don't sell/give it to other hobbiest until you treat them.Thanks.

Hello Eugene. Did you pick them up pretty recent? I got that purple rim monti cap from you. What should I look for?
I hope I didn't get them.

I just checked and didn't see any. Apparently (according to some articles) they only infect smooth skinned Acropora. So I should be Ok.

Your corals will be OK.I just noticed these bugs couple of days ago.If you look at my corals/tank in general they look better compared during the time you picked up that monti cap.And yes they only affect acros and only noticed it in 2 of my acros. You have nothing to worry about.

eugene, hook a brother up.

No problem.Let me finished eradicating these pests. So far I only see 2 or 3 in 2 of my acros so they're not gonna stay long in there.First treatment is now going, 2 more to go.

I've seen very beautiful/colorful SPS set of other people who had once infected redbug.I'm confident that I will win this war!!!!!!!!Thanks all for your help.
