Well not really falling apart maybe just a little worn last week while putting up the christmas lights i flipped a few breakers and when it was all over discovered that the power supply for one of my MP-40's was no longer working, well i replaced that.

While waiting for the replacement of that, one afternoon i noticed that the wet side of my other mp-40 was free spinning on the glass, i pulled it apart but am not sure as to which piece is worn out? anyone else have this experience b4? it seems that whatever pice is meant to keep the cage housing from moving on the prop shaft is no longer there as this piece moves freely up and down the shaft.

And finally my actinics are firing but only come on for a second then go right back off they have an ice cap ballast of course wondering if anyone might know of some simple fixes for these issues or possibly have the spare parts laying around for a reasonable price?

Thanks
Michael

Hi, Mike.
I have an icecap 660 and when that happens its usually because one of the bulbs is loose or needs to be rotated or one of the wires in an endcap is loose. Or you could have a bad bulb. It's probably not the ballast.

good luck

Yes. I gave up on the MP-40s (3 of them) after the wet side started spinning. Could not figure out the problem. It's a great pump but there is always some parts need replacing...that's why I changed to Tunzes.

GL man.
