The back is straight, I just got the tank for bout a month, so I didn't really pay attention till I saw the bow today, tank is only 15 gal .

What should I do to it now or leave it and see?

Thanks a lot

That picture is very deciving. It makes the tank look very large. What size is the acrylic? You can always put a small crossbrace on it. If it were me until I found a fix I would go buy a clamp that spans the distance and bring it back into shape, aslong as it doesn't start to bow the back pannel inwards. Good luck, lets us know how it goes.

Would the clams bring it back to shape? If so I will do that.
I think the tank is 1/4 in acrylics.
Thanks guys.

I would put a straight piece of wood or something across the back where you put the clam so that when you pull in the front the back stays flat.

I have a 13G acrylic that does the same thing. I was worried about it as you are when I first got it but after a little bit of research I found this to be normal.

Mine is 3/8" thick and it bows out at least 1/4".

you could drain the tank, then attach a thin piece of acrylic and use weld-on to join the pieces. it would act as a eurobrace and would take away from the rimless look, but you would fix the bowing.

From what James(Envision Acrylics), if there is an issue from an acrylic tank bowing, you will probably never lose the seems; rather what will happen is it will crack at the top corners.

what he mean by this? thanks

He means that due to the stress of the bow pulling on the corner seams, it will cause the top of the seams at the corners to crack and then a leak will begin. Now, in my experience, once the top of a seam cracks it is only a matter of time until the entire seam splits open, or slowly cracks and gets worse. I hate to tell you that but it is, in my experience, what will happen IF the corner seams crack. There is no guarantee that they ever will. But, it is a dangerous game of what if.
