This came in on my KP Aquatic live rock. Anyone know what it is? Is it good or bad?

Those spines are hard. I thought it was dead but as soon as I pulled it out of the tank it started moving.
Very interesting! I’d check out some of the larger forums (R2R, wwm) for ID. It’s kind of cute

Looks like a spiny brittle starfish arm which may have been broken off.

It does look like that but would the arm still move after detachment?
I think so. Most can regenerate another limb and some a whole new body which might be the case with yours. We’ll have to watch him.
