any theories on how long the power will be out? I have the Vortech battery backup which will run the tank for 30 hours. Do you project that I will be safe?

I heard up to 2 - 3 weeks.

Here in Deer Park at 225 and East gusts over 80mph and almost 2" of rain.

Well we just lost our power and the tanks are up on the generator along with the portable AC unit. At least I know that generator can take a good load.

I have everything but my lights and chiller running. It works with the chiller on but every time the chiller kicks in the generator chokes a little so I'll just leave it off unless the temps get too high.

Have my tank running on generator also. This is the first time I've used the generator.

It has about a 2 gallon gas tank. Does anyone have any idea about how long it will run before it needs more gas?

All I'm running is my tank, two standing fans, & my computer (obviously).

I have 10 gallons gas in containers b/c I have no idea how long the power will be out!

My generator has a 5 gallon tank and is supposed to run about 11 hours. I crank it up and run it about an hour and shut it down for about an hour.

Best of luck to all!

All is OK here. been out of power since 9:30pm. Tank doing OK so far. Been chaging water a little and running an airstone. No generator which I may have to fix in the next few days if I can find one.

good luck to everyone. Does any one on the NW side have power. I am in Austin and my tank in Houston has a vortec Battery backup but I do not know if the power is out and if so for how long. I hope it survives.

Lost power in the middle of the night. I live on Clay between Barker Cypress and Hwy 6. My tank is running with the VorTech battery backup...don't have a generator so hopefully we get power soon.
