Feed Cyclopeeze, and how many actually see the polyps ingesting the food. I have a yellow tabler (Acro. sp.), and a green polyp (Acro sp) frag that goes nuts for them, but the Myagi torts, the Slimer, and the other torts don't fool with them. The A tenuis frags can take 'em or leave 'em. Just wondering.

He has been assimilated into the Zeovit Borg. Resistance is futile!

mulm is clody particles that contain bacteria to be consumed by our corals. I stoped feeding corals long time ago. I used to feed all kinds of food. Like liquid life bioplankton w/ cyclopeez, and also dt oyster eggs. I think my lps like them more than my sps. But the results that I'm getting with zeovit method and good husbandry is amazing.

That's sweet Naka. I actually feed the Cyclopeeze to the fish - it just so happens to flow through the system and get into everything else. I was just curious to see how many others had made the SPS feeding observation.

when I used to feed my sps liquid life. I would shut off my return and just run tunze and mj all night w/ about 2 pumps of liquid life. Man my brain coral and blastos went nuts. I still get tempted to feed my corals, but I can't because I'm trying to reach nutrient poor system.

i never noticed if the polyps catch the cyclopeze.. but i did notice that when you feed cyclopeze or golden pearl some sps release some kind mucus... not sure they were trying to catch food or stressed.

I'll try to get some pix of the yellow Acro eating it. It's real easy to see the bright red cyclops going into the yellow polyps. That might be a chore with my Kodak digital, though. The macro setting on it isn't that good.

DJ, I feed CE to my fish, and some of my SPS will grab, but never seen them actually eat it. I think its still a little large in size for them to pul in. I feed the frozen.
I will feed a big glob to my Ritt. It loves the stuff, but seems funny to see it try to feed this mess of little ce's to itself. And the clowns constantly steal from it as it tries to feed.

DJ, I have a few of my acropora that I can readily see taking the cyclop-eeze particles into their polyps and ingesting them. One is a big staghorn that is the biggest piece I have right now. Very long polyped and it is the first I noticed that reacted to the CE. Now I have started watching more and I have a few species that are more into the feeding than others.

Hey hon,

How's the system coming along. I need to get back over to check it all out. Funny thing is the Acros with the largest polyps aren't necessarily the ones eating it. I have a gold prostrata (Thanx Les) with huge polyps that doesn't even fool with them. I dunno, there must be chemo receptors that need to be triggered for the capture mechanism to kick in.

Hey DJ, none of my millepora or prostrata will accept any of the CE. This stag which I believe to be a albrolhoensis, which has long, slender polyps, does readily accept the particles. Mostly what are taking the food are the fleshy polyps, thick but not necessarily like millepora's.

I'm here so come on by. I am going to have to have 2 more surgeries on my neck and a level above the first 2 coming up so ya better get by soon.
