The subject says it all

Mine was a purple tang. I purchased it in 1996 in the Bay Area and it was about 3" so who knows how old it was. I brought it w/ me to Texas and kept it until 2004/5. It then went to live w/ Lesd and he kept it until last year. So - 12 years in captivity!

I know Terry Siegel probably takes the cake w/ his like 20 yo clownfish...hehe.

My oldest fish is also a purple tang. I bought it in 2003 from another member who had the tang for ~3yrs. It's still alive and one of the fattest purple tang you could see around! So next year will be his 10th yr anniversary for his captive life!

One thing I like about my purple tang is that he doesn't grow fast. For the 6 yrs I have him in my tank, he's grown only ~1/2" - 3/4"! (he's aroud 4.5" now), but he does get a lot fatter Meanwhile, my blue tang has grown from 2" to ~5.5" now in ~2 yrs (!) that makes me concerned that I have to get rid of him one day..

my oldest fish is my foxface 4yrs old, wish i can get rid of the guy but it was the first fish my wife bought me so i am stuck wid the bugger

My oldest fish is George, the Emperor angel (the very same guy swimming in the banner at the top of the page). I've had him for a little more than 10 years. His best friend is a blueface angel that I've had for almost as long - a couple of months less.

I have had gold fish for over 8 years. I have damsels that are 5. My yellow tang will be 4 in jan. Blue tang will be 4 in june. .. winter wonderlandddd
