I would like to raise my alk . It is currently at 6.5 dkh. would like it to be 8-9. my calcium is about 440 450. I dont have a test kit for mg yet. would like to raise it and then maintain the levels w/ a kalk reactor. I also have 2 part solution in mind but still reading about it. I bought a ora red planet 2 days ago and noticed the tips are turning a bit whitish. getting kind of scared. maybe i am just paranoid to lose it. everything else seems to be doing fine. Please help thanks

Since you have a small tank stick to a balanced two part. You probably pay a little more in a long run but dosing is much easier and you will see better results.
The other two part that you can use is ESV B-Ionic. The two gallon supplement will run you under $30 and it will last you probably 6 months to a year.
