I just broke my monti cap! Need advice (1 Viewer)

I bought a really nice monti cap from FJW on Friday. Jacob told me to be careful when cutting the post. Well. I managed to break it into 3 pieces. I glued the plug down with what is left and glued the other 2 on the rock. Any chance it will live? I’m sick about it.

It’ll be fine. That’s how you make frags. By breaking pieces off and gluing them on plugs.

Assuming your water quality and lights will support a monticap that is.

yeah they are tough. you can actually super glue the pieces back together and in a month or so it will be grown over.

glue them a couple inches apart on the same rock, will make a super cool colony

The mother frag will be fine, but the other two pieces you will need to bring to me so that I can watch them.
