In search of Lettuce nudibranch any local sponsors have one?

I've been looking for one for some time, I don't want to buy online, I'd rather use a sponsor.

Any ideas where to go?

I haven't seen any lately. Maybe ask one of the sponsors if they can order some in. I know Kenny at Aquatic Center has taken requests before.

If you find one please let me know where you found it. I have been looking for them as well....

Thanks and a correction

Lettuce Sea Slug is correct- NOT nudibranch. Nudibranch's are a different type of creature, and all are carnivorous.

Thanks to Dr. Shimek for setting me straight on that :)

The major draw back to slugs is that they always get sucked into an overflow or powerhead.

You just need to buy smarter slugs.

I don't plan on using any powerheads, and the oceanic RR overflow has some pretty narrow slots, about 1/4" wide.

Do you think they get stuck in there?

I've never had any luck with lettuce nudislugs. They never seemed to do a good job and they disappeared after a short while. I had plenty of crap algae for them to eat, too.

A friend ordered some with his cleanup crew. One vanished and the other ends up either in the sump at least once a month.

Despite their troublesome nature they are fun to watch and make a nice addition if you know what you're getting into
