For a while now I have had a terrorist in my tank. A terrorist calling himself Stone Crab'ladin. One by one he would catch and murder infidels (snails) leaving their bodies (shells) for me to find. I really didn't want to invoke Jehad by tearing apart the tank to get him. So the hunt for Crab'ladin has been on going for months. Well it ended last night when he was spotted in a cave. He had trippled sence the last time he was seen. This time he would not escape the long arm of the law (my trusty bolt grabber). I managed to capture a couple of his legs and as I put him into custody, so ended the reign of the red Stone Crab'ladin. Pictures will be released to the media tonight.
His trial is set for tonight. Consider yourselves selected for jury duty in this case. He has been found guilty, what should he be sentenced to?

I say, life in a little glass box, filled with water.
That box should include, a sleeping accomidation, a waste faucility, and 3 square meals a day.

Not a big person for the Death Penalty when I am not the one footing the price to house said criminals.

this is one of the funniest posts I have read here in a long time.
Good job on capturing the Crab'ladin.
Also, be on the lookout for any hostile Crab'ladin followers and sympathisers. They are very sneaky!

I accept my seat on the jury, I am only dissapointed that I am not the tri-bunal in this matter though.
P.S. I GUESS THIS MEANS HE DOESNT GET HIS SEVEN VIRGINS WHEN HE GETS TO "HEAVEN" THEN.

I vote for life in the refugium.
BTW, stone crabs are illegal to keep. You might consider dropping him off in galveston. :p

Wait, how are they illegal to keep?
Did you mean they are illegal to capture etc.....
There are people in Houston keeping tigers and other exotic animals in their back yard relatively speaking with no license etc... and it is legal so how and why would a crab be illegal?

estone,
from what I understand, the stone crab is an endagered species. So it is illegal to have one in your possession. However its not illegal to keep his claw to eat since it will grow back.
If not mistaken, keeping any endagered species in your posession is illegal. Not likely that he will get into trouble, but its good to know this.
Ive also heard that owning some type of culerpa in California is illegal too. LoL
go figure. :D

Wow, ASSININE!!
so you can rip his claw off to eat but you cant keep the animal in your tank.
what if you were to keep it in some kind of a capsule out in the gulf and every few months just keep pullilng it up out of the water to rip its claw off again?
legal or illegal?

-----mr limpet i would go ahead and take care of Crab'laden the old fashioned way before the gov't finds out you are keeping him hostage and against his will. finish it and then deny any knowledge.

Actually I don't think it is that they are endandgered but the fact that the only good thing to eat on stone crab is the claw so it would be wasteful to take more than that.

What a life a stone crab must have around here constantly falling for the old chicken on a string only to lose a arm again and again.

don't take him to galveston.

Post was probably in jest, but just to be sure, don't release him to the wild. Either kill it or risk "the law" by keeping it. would be my vote.

Even if it is a native species. never release what has been kept as a pet. Animals pick up parasites in Aquaria that may not be indigenous

I wouldn't release him, though he is free to a good home if someone wants him

I say peel his little carapace off and feed him to your fishies. That way you're contributing to the food chain and not just administering the death penalty, in which case you know he'd have his right to appeal and you'd just be caught in years of legal struggles.

Very funny post, BTW!! :D
