IC 430

Did this work for you? I belive it will only push (2) T5-HO regardless if it is 24" or 60"

Different story for pc/vho t

You can definately run 4 24" bulbs with that ballast. If you want to run 36" or 48" bulbs then you can only run 3 bulbs. With 60" or 72" bulbs then you are limited to 2 bulbs.

yea, you can only run 2 bulbs. just FYI
Do you have any need for some 36" bulbs

I dignt realize this, but turns out to be true. Its a limit of the 430, can only start 2 T5's regardless of length. Strange, youd have to step up tothe 660 to do 4 T5's

That is correct except for T5's apparntlly. Something to do with the power needed to start them. It will run 4 - 2" VHO or NO T12's or T8's, but only 2 - T5's

toan,

I know from personal experience that the 430 can only power [glow=red:1553be90ef]2[/glow:1553be90ef] T-5's. If you try more then that you will blow it up. Luckily i was home when it happened. Icecap did repair the ballast but it still cost me $80.

2 bulbs thats it for t-5's

as for vho 4-24" or 3-30"

if you were set on t5's your other option is the ic 660
which you can run 4 -24"

or a buy a cheeper balast and run 1 bulb by itself
and the 430 with 2 bulbs

hope that clears up some confusion
