I had my tank from 82-84 degrees. My corals were fine. I had an ich outbreak at these temps. That might actually help it reproduce faster. It does help the fish immune system tho.

You can have your temps high with no issue. It cannot pass 86 for most corals. Mine were thriving at 84. The most important thing is consistency and to not have it vary more than 6 degrees in a day. Some people use chillers and heaters for 80 year round but I would argue consistency with a variable temp is ideal.

The only way to beat ich involves a qt. otherwise it is there and as soon as you have a stressed fish it comes back.

Roger that.

Just trust me bro, TTM is solid. I've been doing it for a long time now. It stops the life cycle. It's very easy.

Day 1 - fish in QT.

Match temp and SG. Try not to transfer any water. Drain tank, catch fish with plastic container with holes. Feed as much as you want on transfer day.

Day 4 - transfer

Day 7 - repeat.

Day 10 - repeat.

Day 13 - repeat and done.

Post transfer, Sterilize "all"equipment with a mild bleach solution. Rinse everything really well. Let it dry before the next transfer.

My fish tank had ICH and I did treatment as this instruction showed above and no need cooper or other medicine to treat, garlic no help. Only cooper or Hyposalinity can treat ICH, but it take too much time to treat (5 to 6 weeks), so I combine transfer metal as show above with hyposalinity to reduce the time and it is work perfect. Why I need to use hyposalinity while I using transfer metal? Because Hypo can kill ICH at free swimming phrase during I transfer fishes to other quarantine tank.
