I don't belive that's a sundial snail we've had on in our mixed reef for 2 years no problems.. oh we have zoas in there also sundial has a flater shell I think

I have a few of these snails in my tank too. They are not sundial snails (much too large). I've had them for a few months, I don't think they are causing any harm.

Kind of looks like a periwinkle, but the color pattern is tough to tell in that pic.

Definately not a nerite or sundial. It's shape rules those out. It looks like a Nassarius sp. to me.
