@Reefahholic ill get my dad to order that stuff tonight. But before I do is there anywhere they sells it local?
I’ll just keep the slight changes I did, and won’t change anything else other then change a bulb or 2. Until I get my nitrates up. And hopefully level off.

thank you!!

I haven't seen it local other than TriggerFan. :)

Yeah man...Nitrates is a game changer. I can give you my exact recipe for my 75 gallon if you need it, but I think I gave you enough info back there to know how to make your own solution.

Just pick Potassium Nitrate
Enter your tank volume
Pick teaspoons
Make a solution that increases NO3 by 1ppm per 1mL for your total tank volume.
Done.

I keep mine in an airtight sealed container from the container store. Love these things:

I wish he had a calculator for Sodium Nitrate...that's what I'm using.

Nope haven’t nuked yet, I’m currently at 1 ppm. Every 24hrs I’m having to dose 2ml is that okay? I just assumed that’s what I needed to do to maintain it at 1 ppm atleast and gradually add more and hold off at 5 is what I’m shooting. The first day I did 1 ml checked 24hrs and it went back down to 0.

How ever much you need to dose to bring it up by 1ppm in 1 day. Depends on how strong/weak you made your solution is what determines your dose in mL.

Just don't raise it by more than 1ppm in 24 hrs. You can do it, but I don't recommend it unless you have experience with this product and its effects and fully understand how it works.

Ok so if I dose to just bring it up by 1ppm then how do increase it to the level I need? Is it something that happens over time that everyday I add 1ml it’s supposed to go up on its own? Or like gradually week by week I up the amount I dose? Just confused how you go from 0 to say 5ppm if you only add 1ppm.

So you dose gradually over time. If you add 1mL....test 24 hrs later...and log the result. If the tank is not coming up from 1mL every 24 hrs then you may have to increase to 1.5 or 2mL in 24 hrs.

Just take your time and bring it up slowly. No rush. If it takes 5 days then it takes 5 days. ;)

Going too fast will likely brown out corals, cause algae, etc. Slow is good.
