I notice that sometimes the bags inside the 200 gallon sat mix boxes appear to get an air leak and brick up. However, the bag itself also gets a tan tint to it. Anyone else experiencing this? I’ve typically just not used that salt in the past, but I’m curious if anyone has and what effects did you notice.

Are you storing in an air conditioned space? I had that happen once but the box/bag was in my garage for a few months...

Also, aside from not dissolving as well as salt that didn't get exposed to humidity (and needing to use more to achieve desired salinity), it didn't cause any problems... Alk, Ca, Mg still tested about the same after it was mixed.

Oh I keep it in the garage. Definitely in humidity. Going forward, I'll probably keep my salt in my fish room once I finish the expansion. I'll have more space then.

So it shouldn't be an issue using this salt to make water? I can break it up with a pulverizing hammer.

I tend to keep the bags sealed and then inside the 5gal buckets that also seal.

Do not seem to have the issue and I store in the garage as well.
