I have had a pair of B&W Clowns for about 18 months now. The male has been showing signs of submission for about 6 months (the little shakey dance ), and they have both started clearing a spot in the back of my tank for about two weeks. I have increased feedings to twice a day, but I don't want to overdo it to the detriment of my water quality - I have some LPS & SPS corals in the same tank.
When/if they decide to spawn, I think I should like to try to rear the offspring. I attended Matt Pedersen's lectures back in February, and I found marine ornamental breeding to be incredibly interesting -- not to mention the effects it has on the hobby's sustainability. Eventually, I would like to have a tank that is 100% aquacultured.
Who in our MARSH community has successfully bred clowns? I would be very interested to see other people's setups and rearing methods. One can learn only so much from forums on the internet! I'm still in the researching and learning phase, so any and all help is much appreciated.
